Fjällbjörk

Mountain birch grow just at the edge of the treeline. They're very unique to the swedish mountains. I have always had a liking for these tiny trees since I saw them.  This photograph was taken at Storulvån, Jämtland during sunset. As the cold evening arrives the mist rolls in, increasing the seperation between the background elements and the fjällbjörk. This fjällbjörk stood out from the rest and made for a great composition.
